WeScout Policies

How WeScout works, and what to expect around payments, orders, and returns.

Last updated: September 2026

Welcome to WeScout — a pan-India platform for discovering, developing, and connecting with sport. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WeScout website and app (the "Platform"), operated by WeScout ("WeScout", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

1. What WeScout is

WeScout brings together several things athletes, coaches, and sports businesses need in one place:

  • A social feed, Moments, and Play (short videos) for sharing your training and matches
  • An AI Coach that reviews videos and answers sport-specific questions
  • Ask an Expert, a directory-style Q&A with sports professionals
  • Athlete, Academy, and Professional (coach/trainer/nutritionist/physio/psychologist) directories
  • Team Up — finding nearby players, forming teams, and Borrow a Player for one-off fixtures
  • Bookable sports grounds (courts) and live match scoring across multiple sports
  • Live streaming of matches and sessions
  • Paid consultations with listed Professionals
  • Sports memorabilia and equipment auctions
  • Store — a marketplace where users list and sell sporting goods to each other
  • A Sponsorship program connecting Pro-verified athletes and teams with individual or registered sponsors

Some of these are free to use; others involve a payment, which is always shown to you before you pay. We may add, change, or discontinue any feature at any time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you and supervise your use of the Platform, especially any paid feature. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of the posts, videos, moments, comments, and listings you create ("Your Content"). By posting it on WeScout, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it on the Platform so the feature you used (feed, Moments, Play, Store listing, auction listing, etc.) can actually work. You confirm you have the rights to post whatever you share.

You agree not to:

  • Post content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or infringes someone else's rights
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any team, academy, or brand
  • Manipulate bidding, ratings, wishlists, or engagement metrics anywhere on the Platform
  • List counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or prohibited items in the Store or an auction
  • Use the Platform to scrape data, spam other users, or interfere with its normal operation

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, using the reporting and admin-review tools built into the Platform. See our block/report features if another user is bothering you.

4. AI Coach and Ask an Expert

AI Coach gives automated, AI-generated feedback on technique from the video or question you provide. Ask an Expert routes your question to a listed sports professional. Neither is a substitute for professional coaching, medical, or physiotherapy advice — always consult a qualified professional in person before making decisions about training load, injury, or health, especially if you're in pain or recovering from an injury.

Improving WeScout's AI. By using AI Coach, AI Analysis and Speed Test, you also allow WeScout to use your questions, ratings and uploaded videos to train and test WeScout's own AI, as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 3). Videos are kept privately for a limited time and deleted after training. You can turn this off at any time on the Privacy Policy page, which also deletes the training copies of your videos.

5. Professionals, consultations, and Borrow a Player

Professionals (coaches, trainers, nutritionists, physiotherapists, sports psychologists) and Pro-verified athletes listed on WeScout are independent individuals or businesses, not WeScout employees. WeScout provides the platform to discover them and pay for a consultation or a Borrow-a-Player booking — we are not a party to the coaching, medical, or playing relationship that follows, and we don't guarantee the outcome, qualifications, or conduct of any listed Professional or athlete beyond the admin review each profile goes through before appearing publicly. Verify credentials yourself before relying on advice that affects your health or that of someone in your care. WeScout keeps a platform fee of 15% of the consultation or Borrow-a-Player fee (inclusive of payment-gateway costs); the remaining 85% is credited to the Professional's or athlete's WeScout wallet.

5A. WeScout Pro, points, and wallet

WeScout Pro is a recurring subscription, currently ₹49 per month plus applicable GST (currently 18%, i.e. ₹57.82 in total), billed automatically through Razorpay until you cancel. Eligibility requires an Athlete or Professional profile, or 1,000+ followers. Cancelling stops future billing but keeps your Pro access active until the end of the period you already paid for — you won't be charged again after that. Some already-approved accounts from WeScout's earlier free verification system keep Pro status at no charge ("grandfathered"); this doesn't apply to new Pro sign-ups.

Points are earned through activity (posting, match participation, engagement your content receives, sponsoring others, and similar). Points are spend-only: they cannot be withdrawn as cash. At a rate of 15 points = ₹1 they can be used as a discount on Store purchases and paid professional services. Points have no cash value, and aren't refundable or transferable.

Views: WeScout does not pay per view. View counts are used for ranking and stats only. WeScout may change the points/redemption terms above at any time — we'll reflect the current numbers wherever they're shown in-app (Wallet, Points).

Wallet balances can be withdrawn to your bank account (minimum ₹300 per withdrawal) via Razorpay. A withdrawal fee of 3% plus GST at the applicable rate (currently 18%) on that fee is deducted from the amount withdrawn; the exact breakdown is shown before you confirm. Withdrawals are subject to the payout cadence for your account type shown in-app.

6. Sports Grounds, Team Up, and match scoring

Sports Ground listings are either added directly by WeScout or self-listed by the ground owner and reviewed before publishing; booking a slot forms a booking between you and that sports ground, not with WeScout. Team Up connects you with nearby players and teams for informal or scheduled matches — WeScout doesn't supervise these matches and isn't responsible for injuries, disputes, or conduct that occurs at them. Play safely, and use your own judgement about who you choose to play with.

7. Sports Auctions

Sellers consign items for auction; WeScout's admin team reviews, inspects (where practical), and publishes each listing with a starting price, reserve (if any), and buyer's premium. Placing a bid is a binding commitment to buy at that price (plus the buyer's premium) if you win and the reserve is met. Item condition and authenticity are represented by the seller and reviewed by WeScout's admin team on a best-efforts basis — WeScout is not a guarantor of authenticity or condition beyond what's stated in the listing.

8. Store — buying and selling

Store listings are created by individual sellers (fellow users), reviewed by WeScout's admin team before they go live, and sold directly to you. WeScout is the marketplace and payment facilitator, not the seller of record — the seller is responsible for the accuracy of their listing, the condition and authenticity of the item, and fulfilling the order (packing and shipping it after you pay). See our Return Policy for returns and our Refund Policy for refunds. WeScout keeps a platform fee of 15% of each sale; the remaining 85% is credited to the seller's WeScout wallet once the order is confirmed.

9. Payments

All payments on WeScout (Store checkout, auction settlement, sports ground bookings, consultation fees, Borrow-a-Player bookings) are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. WeScout never sees or stores your card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles that directly. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) and include whatever taxes or fees are displayed at checkout.

10. Sponsorship program

WeScout's Sponsorship program lets any user — sponsoring as an individual or, once registered, as a business ("Sponsor") — make a direct payment to a Pro-verified athlete or Pro-verified team to support their sport or medical expenses, starting from ₹9, with no upper limit. Only accounts that have completed Pro verification (see Section 5) can raise funds or receive sponsorship; anyone can sponsor them.

A sponsorship may be tied to that athlete's or team's published fundraiser (its category, story, and optional goal amount, which they control from their own profile) or given as general support when no fundraiser is active. WeScout keeps a platform fee of 15% of every Fund sponsorship amount (for Super Gifts and channel memberships to athlete and Pro accounts, WeScout's share is 25%, plus GST at the applicable rate on that share); the remainder (the "net amount," shown to you at checkout and to the recipient) goes to the athlete or team. This fee is non-refundable once a sponsorship is paid — see our Refund Policy for how refunds on the remaining amount are handled. WeScout facilitates the payment and the discovery of who to sponsor; we are not a party to, and don't supervise, how a recipient spends what they receive, and we don't guarantee that any fundraising goal will be reached.

11. Live streaming

Live streaming is available to eligible accounts (based on followers or an admin grant). You're responsible for what you broadcast — the same content rules in Section 3 apply to live streams, and we may end a stream that violates them.

12. Intellectual property

The WeScout name, logo, and the Platform's own software, design, and features belong to WeScout. Nothing in these Terms transfers that to you. Your Content remains yours, subject to the license in Section 3.

13. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is." WeScout doesn't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for disputes between users (buyer/seller, bidder/consignor, athlete/professional, player/player), for the conduct of other users, or for the accuracy of user-generated listings, profiles, or AI-generated feedback. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeScout's total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount (if any) you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

14. Termination

You can stop using WeScout and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are involved in fraud, or pose a risk to other users, with or without notice depending on severity.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as WeScout's features change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above; if a change is significant, we'll flag it in-app.

17. Grievance redressal (India IT Rules, 2021)

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the details of the Grievance Officer are provided below. If you have a complaint about content on the Platform or a violation of these Terms, you can reach the Grievance Officer directly:
