WeScout Policies
How WeScout works, and what to expect around payments, orders, and returns.
Last updated: September 2026
This Return Policy covers physical products bought through the WeScout Store — the marketplace where users list and sell sporting goods to each other. It doesn't cover auctions, sports ground bookings, Professional consultations, or Borrow-a-Player payments; those are covered by our Refund Policy instead.
7-day return window
You can return a Store item within 7 days of delivery, for any of these reasons:
- You've changed your mind and simply don't want it anymore
- It arrived damaged, defective, or not working as described
- It's materially different from the listing (wrong size, wrong item, missing parts, etc.)
After 7 days from delivery, we're no longer able to accept a return for that order — this window is fixed and doesn't extend for any reason, so please inspect your order promptly.
Condition for a return
- The item should be unused and in the same condition you received it, with all original tags/packaging where applicable
- Items marked as used/resold gear (Like New, Good, Fair condition) can still be returned within the window, but should come back in that same condition — not further worn or damaged
- Consumable or hygiene-sensitive items (mouthguards, used grip tape, opened nutrition/supplement products, and similar) can only be returned if they arrived damaged or defective — not for a change of mind, for hygiene reasons
How to start a return
- Go to My Orders and open the order.
- Message the seller (or use the in-app support/report tools) within 7 days of delivery, stating the reason for return.
- Ship the item back once the seller confirms the return address — pack it the way you'd want to receive it.
- The seller inspects the returned item and confirms the return.
Refund after a return
Once the seller confirms the returned item matches the condition it was sent in, your refund is issued to your original payment method via Razorpay — typically within 7–10 business days. See our Refund Policy for the full timeline and how shipping costs are handled.
Who pays return shipping
- If the item arrived damaged, defective, or wasn't what was listed — the seller covers return shipping.
- If you're returning it for a change of mind — you cover return shipping.
Non-returnable items
Custom-fitted or made-to-order equipment ordered through a seller's listing can't be returned for a change of mind, since it's made specifically for you — but you can still return it if it arrives damaged or doesn't match what was ordered.
